Getting There
The roads to Vrisch Gewagt may not be paved with gold, but the scenic backdrop and the spectacular passes are food for the soul.
You could fly to George airport, hire a car and drive 175 kilometres, through the beautiful town of the Ostrich feather era, Oudtshoorn via the N12 and the dramatic Meiringspoort. Or you could enter the Swartberg Pass from Oudsthoorn and emerge in Prince Albert 27km later. Or you could drive the beautiful garden route 245 km from Knysna via George and Oudtshoorn
Or you could drive 400 km North of Cape Town via the N1 and the magnificent Hex River Valley. All roads (except the Swartberg Pass) are tarred, in good condition with spectacular views of the Karoo and mountains.
